1.3.8 Safe to install
This application provides a front-end interface for the iPod library player on iOS devices. Unlike the standard picker, it features an integrated playlist selector that simplifies the process of choosing tracks from specific playlists. Additionally, it allows for easy mixing and shuffling of two or more playlists. The interface displays certain information not visible in the default player, enhancing user awareness of playback details. When connected to a power source, the application remains active without auto-sleep, making it suitable for use with Dock speakers.
Regarding Last.fm integration, the app functions as a scrobbler that records playback data based on changes in the play count within the iPod library. It primarily registers scrobbles manually, although automatic scrobbling at set intervals is possible during foreground operation. The app supports marking tracks as loved or unloved and enables sharing playback information via Twitter and other social platforms (compatible with iOS 6 or later).
It is important to note that this is not a background real-time scrobbler. Scrobbling occurs only during foreground operation, which is recommended when using external speakers or similar setups. Due to its reliance on play count differences, discrepancies may occur if synchronization with iTunes or other devices alters play counts before scrobbling. For optimal accuracy, it is advised to perform automatic scrobbling via AT-Shuffle immediately prior to synchronization processes.
The app also includes a scrobble history feature, displaying records from the past 24 hours. Users can retrospectively mark tracks as loved even if the love rating was not assigned during playback. Sharing via Twitter from this history is also supported.
In catalog mode, each piece of music plays sequentially for approximately 20 seconds, with the app automatically adjusting the iPhone’s volume. This mode simulates a radio countdown experience, although it does not operate in background or during device sleep states. Additionally, fade-in and fade-out effects are unsupported on devices that do not allow volume control through the iPhone itself.
Gesture controls include a single tap to toggle play/pause, swipe left or right to skip tracks, and swipe up or down to adjust volume. Enjoy your listening experience!
*** If you encounter issues with scrobbling, please consider reconfiguring your account setup after deleting and reinstalling the application.
